After studying Visual Communication in his hometown of La Plata, Argentina, Carlos moved to Italy in 1990 where he began his studies in painting. He spent three years as painter and street artists until 1993 when he moved to the United Kingdom.
Since then, Carlos have been working in education and community arts where he has devised and developed art projects for community centres, youth clubs and schools and I have undertaken art residencies and commissions for various privates, public organisations and local government councils.
Carlos work focuses on the development of a project from first-hand experience of a place or in response to a person or community, exploring the history and backgrounds of their everyday lives and memories. He uses various means of engaging people in art projects through the collection of objects, letters or sounds that evoke memories or simple pleasure. His latest projects involve the use of video and mix media and are presented as a combination of video, installation and sculpture.
